Sinful liked challenges. He liked the way he could blatantly prove that he was better than everyone else was. Taking souls was a challenge, not that it was hard in fact it was quite easy so he allowed the humans to run and scatter once they realised what he was, he created the challenge and they – with their simple minds – played their part. He watched him from afar, for he was far too timid to do anything about it himself. His friends ended up starting the conversation and throwing him into it as well. At that moment, he had wanted to sink into the ground and curse but he hadn't.
